Here is a true situation, where a place time, twirled through... it's type-of-rope, that will pull... ALL Exposed, into it's own... arena !

In 1992 a girl finds in travel this true story... which - begins around Georgetown, Texas with the Morgan family daughter, Martha C. Morgan and the Power family son, Thomas Jefferson Power, (known as Jeff) marrying early 1889.

The spring of 1890 Jeff Power and Martha C. Morgan Power had the birth of a baby boy, they named Charles Power.

Shortly after, Jeff Power, Martha C. Morgan Power with son Charles, Jeff's widowed Mother, Martha Jane Power (known as Jane) and a few of the Morgan boys, (brothers of Jeff's wife, Martha C. Morgan Power) with their families and herds of cattle combined; a wagon-train leaves on an adventure, forging out their plans. Leaving the Civil War era and Texan's behind.

Territories ahead, have there own signs-of-the-times, from 1860-1865 of the Civil War, Custer's Last Stand, 1881 O. K. Corral with the Earp Brothers, local wars, Kit Carson, outlaws and the lawlessness-of-the-day, the Power and Morgan group rolled on to, what they thought would be, a new and a better life; that unfolds a decade-of-eras, into OUR lives.

The families settling in Gila, New Mexico, some miles... north of Silver City, New Mexico; during a major chase for Billy-the-Kid.

Upon arrival, Jeff Power purchased land and cattle from the Lyons and Campbell Land & Cattle Company (aka L. C. Land & Cattle Co.) in a beautiful valley, still being taken from Indians by settlers (for this is the Hunting Ground of 20 tribes). Many times the settlers in the area had to group, for protection from an Indian raiding - (the tribes wanting their life and land left pristine), for all to survive!

Through time, Jeff Power built from a hunting site, to a farm into a home, for Jeff Power and wife-Martha C. Morgan Power; Jeff Power's mother- Martha Jane Power (known as Jane Power) and now 4 children; Oldest - Charles Power born 1890, John Jefferson Power born 1891, Thomas Jefferson Power Jr. (known as Tom) born 1893 and Ola May Power born 1894.

Another point, in this part-of-time, while settlers learn to know, the cattle herds grow... and Indians go - chased by Calvary riders, most from 12 to 25 yr.s olde. In the column, a young Scout Tom Sisson rides, after many tribal Indians (in the villages) from areas involving Custer's  " Little, Big Horn ", the Apache Nations' (Council agreed to surrender to the White-eyes). Then there was thee chase, after Geronimo and his band; gathering, sent to Florida

During the areas settler growth, Jeff Power allowed a man, Farmer Reede, to build a fork-poled, dirt grassed roofed house on the Power Family property. On the day of completion Jeff Power's wife Martha C. Morgan Power and Jeff Power's mother Martha Jane Power (known as Jane Power) headed over graciously, to Farmer Reede's with housewarming gifts, as curtains and cute things. As the ladies enter, the door poles’ fall, burying the Power family women, Martha and Jane.

Gramma Martha Jane Power (aka Jane Power/ Gramma Jane) digs herself out. Getting no help from Reede, Gramma Jane Power screams for her son, Jeff Power. Jeff Power running over, pushing Reede still standing - stunned. Jeff Power moves a heavy pole, digging through the dirt, from the grass-roof dirt. In reaching Martha C. Morgan Power, Jeff Power finds Martha C. Morgan Power's lifeless body.

Gramma Jane Power, at this point, held the L. C. Land & Cattle Co.s bookkeeper by shotgun, for a few hours, from passing through their property to the L.& C. Co. office, letting Gramma Jane Power's son, Jeff Power and Jeff Power's young children, mourn. Henceforth, a new road was formed and Jane Power is now known as " Shotgun Granny "

Martha C. Morgan Power buried, under trees and fenced, east, of the Power, homestead.
The Power family, grief stricken, took a notion to travel, taking the children; Charles Power (later sometimes called Charlie), John Jefferson Power (known as John), Thomas Jefferson Power Jr. (known as Tom), Ola May Power (known as Baby) and Jeff Power's Mother Martha Jane Power (known as Jane, Gramma & Shotgun Granny) out of New Mexico, into Texas, to Oklahoma, through Colorado and of all places this bonded-bunch returned back to the Gila, New Mexico area.

With the drought in the early 1900's, the Power family survived, heading into the flood of 1905, taking what little was left of the Power family herd, Jeff Power wanders into Wilcox, Az., (which is near Cochises Stronghold) closer to Wil Morgan, one of, the late, Martha Power's brothers.

About this time in life appears Pancho Villa; a yodeling cowboy Rex Allen; many mechanical things and the newspaper pioneer, Hearst.

The " Power brothers ", Charlie, John and Tom Power, by now were old enough to help with horses and cattle, the Power stock and other Ranchers stock in the territory from Wilcx, Az., about Safford, Az., beyond Bonita and Klondkye, Az. and past the San Carlos Reservation into Globe and Miami, Az.

Charlie Power, mid-20's, more like his Father-Jeff Power, self sufficient and hunting for value, from a purpose.

John Power likes early morning rising and helping his Dad-Jeff Power and Gramma Jane Power, horses and Nickelodeons.

Tom Power trains horses and also plays guitar.

Ola May Power, in the meantime, plays a Stradivarius violin, as well as being an excellent horsewoman, that can equal the boys roping.

The Power family moves north of Bonita, Az.(Billy-the-Kid shot his first man there and Geronimo with many Apache Indians were held, before being shipped to Fla., for 25 yr.s), entering near Klondyke, Az., in to the Galiuro Mtn.s, of the Coriondos, residing in Rattlesnake Canyon.

While those as: Billy-the-Kid,  GeronimoU.S. Marshall Dillon,  Pancho Villa and the 7th Calvary with Scout Tom Sisson, rode around the Territory.

Gold treasures and maps about the Lost Dutchman's Mine (50 miles off), as other Gold stories enter to the Power Family (bitten by the gold bug) settling with mountain lions, bear, rattlers and a cattle - rustlin' Ranger, Lee kirby.

Widely done by the trusted, even the Earp Brothers (few knew) were cattle-rustling, in the territory north of Tuscon, in the late 1800's.

Charlie Power, in his 20's, bought Pete Spencer's [aka Spence] goat farm. The entire Power Family move in; adding on to the home and the grounds, making it (still known as), " Power Garden ".

During this point-in-time, one or two Gold Mines are in the Power family ownership.

Going to Wilcox, Az. to Atty. John C. Gungle (who later brought in the Pacific Railroad and the Legion Band) helping the Power family receive non-paying, official badge, arrest warrants and legal documents from Washington, D.C., to deal and stop rustlers as Ranger Kirby and Kirby's outlaw group.

Horse and cattle, drives, round-ups and local auctions were typical.

On occasions, Cattle buyers came, buying up all the area cattle, one purchase added to $217,000.

This gave Jeff Power extra money, after 3 partners left, Jeff Power was owner of the " Jinx Mine " and a Cabin, (the original partners built) 1/2 mile south of " Power Garden ".

Gold Mtn. mining camp now laying between the two Power family owned properties.
Into this basic time, the boy Tom Sisson, now a young man, hooked up with the law as a process server (papers for Jury duty and such).

Tom Sisson, barely able to read or write, rode about the Az. Territory within 60 miles, being known through out, even by the Power family.

Tom Sisson and a partner purchased property, east of Safford, Az., buying cattle and many strings-of-horses.

In one string, a Buckskin gelding, caught Tom Sisson's eye.

Tom Sisson's partner was shot and killed during a card game, leaving Tom Sisson without any of the properties Tom Sisson had helped purchase.

Tom Sisson's, partner knowing Tom Sisson was illiterate, did not put Tom Sisson's name on any deeds nor titles.

Tom Sisson rode the Buckskin gelding everywhere.

An Indian, of the San Carlos Reservation, accused Tom Sisson of theft, pointing out the
" US " and the " Q10 " brands on the hips, of the Buckskin gelding.

During Tom Sisson's trial, the gent whom sold the string-of-horses to Tom Sisson's partner, stated: " Knowing Tom Sisson quite well, not only did I sold the horse to Tom Sisson's partner, but I know Tom Sisson wouldn't ride an obvious horse publicly, had Tom Sisson really been a Horse-Thief ".

Tom Sisson spent 2 1/2 yr.s in Florence Penitentiary, Az.

The Power Boys (John and Tom Power) work for ranchers and mining companies. Tom Power also worked at the Post Office, in the Klondyke store. Inasmuch Tom Power enjoyed Rodeos.

Jay Murdock and Jay Murdock's father, neighbors, became friends with the Power family.

The Murdock's lived 1/2 miles south of the " Jinx Mine "  (now known " Power Cabin ")

Jay Murdock and Tom Power did many things together.

On one day, a journey to Klondyke, Jay Murdock and Tom Power rode toward the store.

Meeting Deputy Frank McBride riding from the Klondyke store.

Jay Murdock introducing Tom Power to Deputy Frank McBride.

Tom Power agreed to campaign for Deputy Frank McBride, run for Grahamn Co. Az. Sherrif.

Ola May Power sold eggs and also cooked, once a week for the miners at Gold Mtn. Now becoming a young lady, enjoys life, animals and music, Ola May Power is rather well liked.

Charles Power now heading into Silver City and Horse Springs, N.M., working in mines, ranches and mule-skinning.

Charles Power loses his right hand, in a well digging accident.

Tom Sisson, now about 45, released from prison, traveling back into the area through the Reddington, Az. side from Tucson, Az.

Tom Sisson meets up with Jeff Power and 2 sons John Power and Tom Power.

Jeff Power and the Power Boys (John Power and Tom Power) and now Tom Sisson (now called Mr. Sisson), carve cups into the mountainside, for wheels to rest into, allowing the wagon or buggy not to slide down the mountain, otherwise being broken-to-pieces.

Horses were transferred by a pulley system.

Shotgun Granny Power and Ola May Power pack a lunch for the men building the road. The family horse, Rosey, was with the men, causing Ola May Power to borrow a neighbors horse, green to buggies, for a few hours.

After meeting Tom Sisson (now one of the family), Shotgun Granny Power and Ola May Power returned home to the " Power Garden ". Reaching the area, the horse spooked, turning over the buggy, killing Shotgun Granny Power.

Shotgun Granny Martha Jane Power is buried behind the Ranch, south of the Klondyke store.

Charles Power came back and decided to pack his things, permanently moving to New Mexico, after the funeral.

Word came of the " GREAT War ".  Jeff Power decided Tom Power and John Power had to stay home, to help Jeff Power and Mr. Sisson (both in their 40's) to work the herd and the " Jinx Mine ".

Jeff Power had finances well in hand, {being the first} purchasing glass windows, being the first in the mountains to do so. Planning to buy a " Stamp ", gold extracting machine, the family group working hard, winter was starting.

The " GREAT WAR "  was a "World War "  [now known as: " WW1 " ], almost over, the " Power Boys ":  called " SLACKERS " ; also term to, citizens not buying bonds !

The " Power Boys " (Tom Power and John Power) wanting to prove they signed up, a trip to the Klondyke store became important.

Coincidentally, the store burned, with all paperwork in the Post Office section all in ashes.

The " Power Boys "  went to the Reddington, Az. Post Office, to the Post Master questioning what to do. The Post Master stated: " They know where you are, if they want you, they will come and get you ! ".

Pre-Christmas 1917, the Power group lived at the olde Gold Mtn. mining camp. Pre-supper, Ola May Power collapses. Jeff Power runs in to see why his daughter was complaining. Ola May Power states: " I've been poisoned ", Ola May Power was dying.

Jeff sent Mr.Tom Sisson down the Mountain, to fetch the closest female neighbor and her husband. Reaching Ola May Power, some seven hours later. Combined with rigor mortis and the frigid weather, Ola May Power was quite stiff.

The neighbor lady dressed Ola May Power, noting Ola May Power's head was very floppy.

Word reached Safford, Az. of Ola May Power, putting together a group of coroners to do an autopsy.

Believing that Ola May Power was pregnant and murdered.

The 23 yr. olde, Ola May Power, proved to be a virgin.

Ola May Power was buried next to Gramma Jane Power.

Memories of a violin, while Jeff Power put together the " gold stamp ", recently delivered in pieces, in a huge wagon.

During the war, Az. and N.M. supplied enough cattle to fill the Chicago and Los Angeles stockyards. Who took care of these cattle on the range?

Warrants were signed out for the " Power Boys " John Power and Tom Power) for:
" slacking "

Mr.Tom Sisson's warrant was signed for: " connections in Ola May Power's death ".

The very pre-dawn, early morning of Feb. 10, 1918, 2 Deputized men T. K. Wooten and Mart Kempton, the Sheriff Frank McBride (Tom Power helped elect)and a Deputy U.S. Marshall Frank Haynes, rode 8 hours, in the cold and snowy moonless night.

Reaching the " Power Cabin " very pre-dawn, tying their horses on the hill behind the cabin, they snuck to a ravine near the front door of the " Power Cabin ", under the curved path that lead south to the entrance of the " Jinx Mine "

Waking, Jeff Power stirs the fire to flame, John Power comes out of the loft, lighting a kerosine lantern to prepare breakfast.

Mr.Tom Sisson and Tom Power remain sleeping in the loft.

The 4 lawmen, Deputy U.S. Marshal Frank Haynes, Sherrif Frank McBride, Deputy T.K. Wooten and Deputy Mart Kempten, abided out-in-the-dark, verifying Jeff Power and John Power - from the flames, through the window and from the canvas door piece.

* Jeff Power puts his pants on, heading to the door, either:

(Jeff Power heard the Power's famous " Belled Horse " ,
outside and grabbed his rifle just above the door
post, looking for a mountain lion.)

                      ...OR...

(Jeff Power, buckets-in-hand, to fetch morning water.)

* [either way] ...Jeff Power stepped outside.

Jeff Power was greeted, not by a Mtn. Lion nor silence, but with another man's voice.

" Put your hands in the air ! ".  Jeff Power stunned, the voice stated a second time, " Put your hands in the air ! ".  Jeff Power put the rifle between his knees, hearing for a third time, " Put your hands in the air ! "

Jeff Power raised his hands and a shot rang out (with a legendary echo through history) entered under the right arm pit, flowing into a lung, dropping Jeff to the door stoop.

John Power ran to the door, reaching for his father. More gunfire tore through the darkness, as one hit the door jam, spraying wooden-splinters into John Power's left eye, weakening in pain, John Power is now on the cabin floor.

Gunfire beginning heavily for about 4 to 6 minutes. Sheriff Frank McBride and Deputy U.S. Marshall Frank Haynes stand alongside the cabin, to the left of Jeff Power.

Tom Power exits the loft, running across the room to the window next to the fireplace, (right of Jeff Power outside of door on the front stoop and John Power on the floor inside near door); where the sounds are to be stemming.

Tom Power reaching the window, having the flash of glass into Tom Power's left eye, caving in, Tom Power drops to the floor, near the fireplace and window.

Mr.Tom Sisson states: " don wanna git envulve... no mass prison, fer me ! ".

Sheriff Frank McBride receives a shot above his right knee, exiting below the knee on the inside. While a second bullet entered his stomach area and a third entered the right side of his neck, exiting the left side of his neck.

Deputy U.S. Marshall Frank Haynes ran to the backside of the cabin, up the little hill to where the horses were tethered. Mounting, he rode to a knoll, more to Jeff's right.
Battery of bullets, again, lasting 3 to 5 minutes.

Near Jeff Power's right, closer to the chimney stood Deputy T.K. Wooten and Deputy Mart Kempton.

Believing, Deputy T.K. Wooten was farthest from Jeff Power, Deputy T.K. Wooten received a bullet in the back of his neck that blew a large hole out of his chest. He fell back.

Almost in this timing, the last shot hit its target. Deputy Mart Kempton, also shot in the back of the neck, exiting with blowing the left side of his jaw off above the throat area, throwing him forward. Deputy Mart Kempton's face dropped, on Deputy T.K. Wooten's boots.

Deputy T.K. Wooten's face was then almost at the boots of Deputy Mart Kempton.

Deputy U.S. Marshal Haynes, at this point said: " it was all quiet. I took off on an 8 hour ride to the Klondyke store, at a full gallop "; so he later stated

Deputy U.S. Marshall Frank Haynes creating havoc, saying: the " Power Boys "  (now
including Big Tom Sisson) and that Calvary Scout / Horse Thief, olde Tom Sisson, shooting with the lawmen, whom all know and respect... within 100 miles, about Klondyke, Az.

Deputy U.S. Marshall Frank Haynes, reaching Safford, Az., incited posse that traveled from a lot of Az., and N.M.; some citizens, lawmen, media and calvary. Most mounted on horses.

In 29 days, largest manhunt, 3,000 posse, in the worst snowstorm of Az. history;  the
" Power Boys " (including Big Tom Sisson) were found, a small distance into Mexico.

A  N.M. Calvary Officer cross' the border, being scared by the " Power Boys " (including Big Tom Sisson) jumped up to surrender, the N.M. Calvary Officer fell off the Calvary Officers mount.

Helping the N.M. Calvary Officer to the N.M. Cavalry Officers feet, the " Power Boys "
(including Big Tom Sisson), returned to Safford, Az. to be viewed in the jail cell, by town people and on-lookers, that cercled the block.

Because of threats, the " Power Boys " (including Big Tom Sisson) were moved to Clifton, Az., to the County Court House and Jail into a basement in a flat barred cell; in a cell which  cell completely surrounding said cell, (later called: inhuman, condemned and banned).

Charles Power met the Atty., from Demming, N.M., giving him cash on behalf of the boys.

The Atty., from Demming, N.M., represented the boys bleakly, as did the jurors, out only for thirty minutes.

This Atty.'s, from Deming N.M., wife became the first woman in congress.

The " Power Boys " (including Big Tom Sisson) were transferred to Florence Penitentiary in Az., for life.

Tom Power created the kitchen set up, known in all prisons today.

Tom Power escaped, making it to California, was picked up and returned to prison.

John Power left with Tom Power's second escape. Tom Power and John Power made it into Mexico, being met by authorities on both sides.

Being in Mexico, Tom Power and John Power were taken to Federalize jail, fed and released in the morning, with money given to Tom Power and John Power, by the Mexican Authorities (recognized the " Power Boys " [not including Big Tom Sisson]), flee deeper in Mexico.

John Power, sleep walked right off a train. < < <

Tom Power, wanting to work, the money was low.

The " Power Boys " [not including Big Tom Sisson] unable to work because of N.Y. not allowing Mexicans to have jobs.

Where as, Mexico now, would not allow Americans to work without a permit (only for job titled on permit).

The Federalize forgot to give the " Power Boys ", open working permits.

The " Power Boys ", wanted to return to Az. Returning to the border, were met by the law and taken back to prison.

Mr.Tom Sisson, a chauffeur at the prison, died before he could be released.

Tom Power and John Power were released, after 42 years. The Az. Governor, in the 1970's, gave the " Power Boys ", a full pardon.

Living near Safford, Az., working on ranches for a while, the " Power Boys ", were able to vote.

One week later, Tom Power died.

Burying Tom Power next to Ola May Power and Jeff Power and Gramma Jane Power.

John Power grew older living behind the Klondyke store. Sitting on the porch of the store, after a walk mid-day, he sat drinking his favorite strawberry soda pop, watching the sunset, recalling the same sight from the Power family and the cabin, through the years. Almost dark, he rambled to his pickup camper, settled with night shadows and sounds of the night wildlife.

Mid-morning, people found John Power's body cold, on the birthday of his brother Tom Power.

Burying John Power next to the Power family members, except Mother Martha C. Morgan power, who preceded him.

The Girl discovering this story, sits in the Girl's car with the sun setting on the Klondyke store and an olde strawberry soda-pop cap, in hand. The Girl driving in front of the store viewing the sun hitting a sign saying: Post Office, in the window.

The Girl realizes a Spirit-Filled knowledge, this is thee beginning... of the end... to a family legends feud, letting Christ's love set on even you!!!

With these years, the Girl later, also discovering; we can know the thoughts about life, with the start of being ' near, in a 100 year olde legend- still unsolved ' pf.

EXT PRE DAWN

Spring of 1992, a 44 year old woman whom worked Carnivals, Circus’ and Stages and liked writing, was traveling by semi back across the United States. The flat bed carried a large object into Klondyke, Az.. The large piece was for Gold extracting and where she found ‘A Real Happening’.

EXT DAY CALVARY TROOP:

A young lad of near 12-13 years old, Thomas J. Sisson born June 9 of 1869, leaves home and joins the Army, becoming a Scout, chasing Indians, as Geronimo from Ft. Grant, Az..

EXT DAY COVERED WAGON:

In mid-summer of 1890 a Wagon Train, with 34 to 35 folks, pulled out of Georgetown, Williamson County; in the territory, known as, Texas.

All but 3 1/2, of these folks consisted, where of the Morgan family. John Morgan born 1840’s and wife Mandy Fibee Morgan born 1840’s, with their 7 children born from 1858 to 1870’s, led the journey. Only one of the Morgan children were still single, a son. The rest were grown, with mates and children, all making this move, into another state.

The 3 1/2 were, one of the Morgan girls, Martha C. Morgan born 1869 and Thomas Jefferson Power [known as Jeff] born 1865, married in the spring of 1889. In the spring of 1890, the couple had a son, Charles Power. Jeff Power’s widowed mother, Martha Jane Power [known as Jane or Grama Jane] born 1842, was making the move, also.

Ola May was called ‘Baby’ by her Dad, Jeff ‘Olde Man Power’. Ola May was friendly and considered kind. Ola May Power was pursued by a Wootan, a Calvary Trooper and ,from Wilcox, Az., Red Nuttle. Many stories revolve around this young Lady.

Big Tom Sisson was released from Florance, Az. Prison. Coming across from Reddington, Az., into the Coronado Mtn., Big Tom met Jeff Power chizzling a road, into the wall of a mountain. Big Tom worked for them and became part of the Power family.

News of those not signed for war, were called "Slackers". John and Tom Power were given the title.

Grama Jane Power and Ola May Power borrowed a horse, that is green to harness, to buggy a lunch to Jeff, John and Tom Power. On arrival, the women, meet Big Tom Sisson. After they ate, Ola May and Grama Jane buggy back to, what is known as, the "Power Garden", maybe 14 miles. Near the house, the horse spooked, turning the rig over. Grama Jane Power died about 10 a.m. in her bed, 3 days later. After, a coyote began to howl, at the corner of Grama Jane Power’s room, where her head lie.

Mart Kempton has political intent, might be towards Congress.

T.K. Wootan traveled distances, inspecting cattle, likes to be in control, of situations.

Sheriff Frank McBride likes his duties, children and people.

Deputy U.S. Marshal Frank Haynes was a controller through manipulating, making him a target to the greedy governing.

Someone arouses the "Slacking" to go from a Federal matter of up to a $50 fine and a possible 90 Jail, not prison, term; into a local correctable situation.

The Local people, being ignorant of LEGAL PLOY, rendered to agree with a "lack to protection" motive, towards the "Power Boys". Really, it was out of the general public reasoning to hid from the ability for inner-self connection, of those not knowing how to avoid... WAR(S).

Inwhich leads them to allow a cruel measure upon those targeted, for something another wants.

A Cowboy Rancher, who knew the Power family, was looking for stays, but with a "NO TRESPASSING" on the Power family land, the Cowboy wanted to let the Power family know, not to shoot, he was looking for stray cattle. He stayed at Murdock’s camp ‘til morning, when he would let the Power family know he was out looking for any of his strays.

Henry Allen came up to visit, for only the evening and next day, even though Henry Allen did not know the area well and was not known to have returned, aft this event.

The legal papers drawn up for the "Power Boys" consisted as Big Tom Sisson being the leader, as noted from most all the court documents; therefore states Thomas J. Sisson vs. Az.. Inwhich, does infact, include John Grant Power and Thomas Jefferson Power Jr. in each order.

T.K. Wootan goes to Lee Solomone. Lee requests T.K. to wait ‘til daylite and he would approach the Power clan, at their home, to talk and surrender. T.K. declined, stating "they would not come down alive". T.K. Wootan, drinking, reaches the Upchurch Ranch {T.K. has purchase power of this Ranch}, by auto, for dinner and to await the arrival of Haynes, Kempton, McBride and the warrants for the 3 men, at the "Power Cabin".

Haynes and Kempton talked, over liquor, in a garage waiting on Sheriff McBride. After his enterence, the three lawmen drove to the Upchurch Ranch, about 8 P.M., Sat. Feb 9, 1918. T.K. Wootan and Mart Kempton are now legally Deputised.

Mrs. Upchurch served food, as Mr. Upchurch pored coffee, to sober the lawmen, nervously excited.

The "Jinx Mine" partners were controllers that were lead to deceive and become deceived, by some guilty party(s). Who are?

The common factor is GOLD, leads the maneuvering craved, into anchoring... sin.

Three horses and a mule were saddled, as four, slightly sober and heavily dressed for cold, mounted and started the longest 8 hour ride, in their ‘lil lives, into an untamed landscape, they had not seen, in a while and some of them, never have seen. But more impressive, the fact, total darkness surrounds everything, view this lack to see, a visual point.

Being drunk and possibly still sharing liquor, as they ride into the frigid night hours, receiving nerve and having afew drunken falls to the ground, creates a few laughs, bruises and scratches. Reaching the "Power Cabin", the lawmen park the mounts above and behind said cabin. Walking down an embankment they reside in a ravine, a small distance, in front of the "Power Cabin" door.

Pre dawn finds Jeff Power, the Father, rising to stir the fire and warm the small cabin. In about that time, John Power came out of the loft, leaving Tom Power and Big Tom Sisson in their bed-rolls to sleep a bit longer. John Power lights the lantern, so to enter the add-on kitchen to make the daily breakfast.

And through the canvas door-peice the lawmen could see the inside movements, while the Power bunch thought it to merely be a mountain lion aft the horse.

The lawmen took their pre-decided places. In those few moments, the, Power family, "BELLED HORSE" makes a ruckus.

Deputy Mart Kempton [closest to the door] and Deputy T.K. Wootan, reach the south corner, from the front of the cabin, positioned safely from the door to their right and a window on the corner to their left.

Deputy U.S. Marshall Haynes flush to the wall, north from the cabin door; with Sheriff McBride to Haynes’ near left.

Jeff Power, Father, enters his pants, grabs his rifle and steps into darkness, on the outside stoop, unable to see.

Deputy Mart Kempton shouts, "throw-up your hands", 3 times.

Jeff Power raises his hands, holding his rifle. The start of gun fire happens. A bullet rips his right lung, dropping him.

Near that moment, Sheriff McBride gets bullets, from top outside of his right knee and out the bottom of the inner part of his right knee. Also one to his chest cavity and a third from below and just behind the right ear, through the back of the neck and out from below and just behind the left ear, falling back into a bush, as if he were propped.

Big Tom Sisson covered his head with his blanket, stating, "I don wanna go back ta prison", staying out of the gun-battle.

Deputy U.S. Marshall Haynes retreated behind McBride, running up to the tied mounts. Riding to the hill a few feet behind Deputies Kempton and Wootan.

Tom Power scaled down the ladder, from the loft, seeing activity from the corner window area. Reaching the floor he runs to the window, passing John Power on the floor, screeming.

John Power being riddled in his left eye by wood slivers, a bullet splintered off the door post. John Power stretched a rifle out the door, shot once to his left.

Jeff Power lays on the cold ground gasping for air.

Tom Power reaches the window and in that glance out, a bullet spatters slivers of glass, in his left eye. Tom Power shot once, out the window.

So much is simultaneous, during this time frame.

Deputy T.K. Wootan was shot from behind into the neck and with a hole = 3 half dollars, excited from his ribs, throwing him backwards to the ground.

Deputy Mart Kempton was shot from behind into the neck and tearing off the right part of his jaw, dropping him to his knees and more to the left-side of his face.

The smell of smoke danced with the silence of a pre dawn sun.

The sun gave shadows, Big Tom Sisson came from the loft, as the father, Jeff Power is being viewed by John and Tom Power.

Hearing the sound of hooves running off, through the area, the "Power Boys" venture outside.

Seeing Sheriff McBride to their near left, of the door; they wonder to the right of the door, to the corner and find T.K. Wootan, face up. Rolling over, Mart Kempton, the man on his side; the "Power Boys" believed him to be McBrides brother.

The morning sun was now rising and warming the ghostly haze, initial to clear, on this Sunday morning of Feb. 10, 1918; that will riddle many for decades of generations.

Scattered thoughts and actions to hide, dieing Jeff Power and to run to a friend to their Father’s, Jeff Power, Sheriff Rye Miles in Tucson, Az..

Big Thomas J. Sisson knows he is marked, even though he is innocent, will have to leave and become one of the "Power Boys".

The "Power Boys" gathered a few items, saying:"Good-bye", the three rode on the lawmen’s remaining 2 horses and the one mule.

Entering near the Murdock camp, about 1/2 mile south, they met the son, J.J. Murdock saying: "it happened".

Two men stayed the night at the Murdock camp, with the son, J.J. Murdock and his Father, John Murdock on the moonless night, Sat. Feb. 9, 1918; a ranching, cowboy and Henry Allen.

At one point everyone was talking at once, little would be remembered.

During a more quiet moment, the "Power Boys" asked J.J. Murdock to stay with their Dad, Jeff Power, as he was dieing.

The "Power Boys" road off to the south and those from the Murdock camp headed to the now famed "Power Cabin".

The view of the known "Power Cabin" was heedfully changed.

J.J. Murdock found and moves their Father, Jeff Power into the mouth of the "Jinx Mine". He cuts all the clothing off dieing, old man Jeff Power, for health comfort.

Jeff Power stated over and over; "why did they shot me, I threw-up my hands, like they asked ? Why did they shoot me ?"

The "Power Boys" painfully ride with the mountain cold towards the south west end of the Galiuro Mountains towards Cochise County to the torturous Gaudalope Caynon towards the Tucson area, reaching Reddington, Az. near 4:30, near dusk.

With the sun beginning to set, about 4:30, into an eerie cold, Jeff Power dies.

Mon. Feb. 11, 1918 a coroners pose view the "Power Cabin" and the bullet holes with the lawmen and the Cabin. Many entered the Cabin and they found only two exiting the Cabin.

Someone stuffed, the body of Jeff Power, into a sicturn near the "Jinx Mine" enterance.

Realizing that news had traveled and a rather large pose was in motion of hunting the "Power Boys", now over the death of the lawmen, nothing anymore for "Slacking".

From Reddington, Az. the plans change to head for Old Mexico. Riding through San Padre Valley, the 3 slip through Little Dragoon Mountain.

Now the mule was replaced by a horse. Near Cochise Mountains the "Power Boys" crossed the Pacific Rail Road tracks.

Charles Power enters the "Power Cabin".

Near Guadalope Canyon, Troop "L" of the 12th Calvary at Hachita, N.M. and the Mexico border, took position and camped in wait, incase the "Power Boys" used this route into Mexico.

Near the Chiricahua west wall, lanterns glow by the, 3,000 man pose, consisting of cars, trucks and horses. All the pose members were so tired, the look-outs were asleep.

The "Power Boys" had many close encounters with pose members, riding through the Chiricahua’s even when men {who did not know the "Power Boys"} near the tail of the large ride, waved the "Power Boys" to come join the ride.

Buying, stealing and receiving food at house, along the way.

The "Power boys" abandon the horses. One point the "Power Boys" had to hide in the rocks and the pose walked over them.

One of the horse stepped on one of the "Power Boys" as they recognized some of the men in the pose, none saw any of the "Power Boys".

Lt. Wolcott P. Hayes and Lt. Rogars headed a squad, with Troop 1, of the 12th Calvary, across ordered areas and to the N.M. border.

The injuries in the eyes of Tom and John Power created agony and complications, after 2 and 3 weeks, little could be done.

A snow storm was beginning to head into the area. Big Thomas J. Sisson played scout, getting them turned around, but leading the 3 out into the foothills of Portal.

Finding canvas, the 3 were able to stripped and wrapped what little shoes they had left. Only one canten, the "Power Boys" were now dehydrating.

The snow storm began the worst, along with the largest manhunt, besides Geronimo, in Az. history.

Reaching Rodeo Crossing the "Power Boys" entered N.M. and made a looping arche across Hidalgo County, through the pass {between Big Hat and Alamo Hueco mountains}, then over the border into the state of Chihuahua, Mexico.

With the pain and throbbing in the left eye and head of John Power, the "Power Boys" talk of surrendering, sitting at a bush some miles into Mexico.

Morning of March 18, 1918, Lt. Hayes and Lt. Rogers take a Company and enter Mexican.

The "Power Boys" hear them and stand to surrender. Lt. Hayes and his men were so alarmed, they fell off their mounts.

The "Power boys" ran to Lt. Hayes, helping him up and dusting him off, they asked to be taken, under arrest.

An Az. Sheriff Schiffield requested the reward, as they Troop with the "Power Boys" approached him waiting at the border.

The "Power Boys" were handed over to Safford, Az. authorities and put in the Safford jail, at the Safford court house.

Public lined-up, many blocks, to see the "Power Boys". After the threats came, the "Power Boys" were moved to the cell in cage in the basement of the Clifton, Az. court house.

Charles Power saw the Atty. James Field and gave him funds to defend the "Power Boys", in Silver City, N.M..

The witnesses where coming in by train, auto and stagecoach and stayed at a hotel in Clifton, Az..

The jury, out for only 23 to 30 minutes, stating "Guilty".

Sent to Florance, Az. prison, for "Life", on May 22, 1918.

Tom Power escaped, for almost a year.

Tom and John Power and another escaped for a few months.

Tom Power read law books and John Power wrote the letters to Az. polititions for porole.

Big Tom Sisson dies Jan. 23, 1957 from heart problems, in prison. He wills the Calvary penton, $10,000 to John Power.

42 years, 11 months and 5 days later, the "Power Boys" are released from prison.

An Az. reporter assists the "Power Boys" to receive a pardon.
The "Power Boys" are hard workers and train horses and more.

A few days after they voted, Tom Power dies.

A few years later, John Power dies, in a camper-truck, behind the now famed Klondyke Store.

The controverscy and questions still float, but in 2006 some think... "what if I had been a relative to the "Power Boys"?"
